As we all know &quot;Third Watch&quot; ended last Friday May 6th, and its a real pity because I doubt if any show in the near future can replace it or come close. I happen to catch this show purely by accident in the 4th season by just channel surfing and I had never even heard of it before but I got very interested to tape it every week. I rarely see a show with such a large cast that their characters gets equal time and so much into their lives. &quot;Third Watch&quot; was truly an exceptional show that went under the radar for number of years and I was always surprised it didn&#39;t get the credit or exposure like other crap on NBC like &quot;ER&quot;. <br/><br/>The best aspect of the show was its character development, regardless of the cops and robbers stuff or the Fire fighters; it delve into these people&#39;s lives and characters like &quot;Faith Yokas&quot;, &quot;John &#39;Sully&#39;, and my favorite of all &quot; &#39;Bosco&quot;. These characters were so believable that I know anyone who watched this show could say: hey, I know someone like that. One has to acknowledge the writers of this show and the labor of love went into each episode that not only dealt with a subject but people&#39;s daily lives and their problems. This last season when Yokas become a detective and went through a divorce it really was great change; she became good at what she did and even surprised Bosco. There was also another great character &#39;Doc&#39; played by Micheal Beach and after his wife left he did become sad and bitter and each episode show that change but it was subtle and yet visible; Beach is superb actor.<br/><br/>There is so much more I can say about this show but most of all I know I will miss those characters. I watched the last episode twice and it was sad and yet so much like close to what was expected of those characters. I think if I was to pick out the best scene it would be when &quot;Cruz&quot; and &quot;Bosco&quot; were sitting in the car to make that big bust and that conversation and their interaction especially Cruz played by Tia Texada (who was brilliant) and her farewell kiss to Bosco, which was unexpected surprise and yet so beautiful; you could almost see that Bosco still cared for her was realizing that she is not coming back. It those kind of small scenes like that which made this show so outstanding and again its sad to see this show came to an end in just 6 seasons. Sully&#39;s voice over for the ending showing the changes that occur for each of the characters was great; one in particular with &#39;Ty&#39; and &quot;Finney&quot; who their fathers were bitter enemies and now their sons became great partners, also ending with Bosco jumping over a car chasing someone.<br/><br/>If any of the cast,writers, Directors, producers ever read this I just want to say thank you for your great work and I wish all the best in all your future projects.<br/><br/>Peace Tony Nejad Wow. You could definitely say I&#39;m hooked on Third Watch. I&#39;m not a big television fan either, but from the first time I saw this show, I adored it. It is fast-paced, it has drama and humor and it seems to be quite realistic. The actors do SUCH a good job of portraying a wide range of emotions that this show sometimes leaves me wrung out. You know, really involved. It&#39;s very easy to get sucked into their world. I highly recommend this show to anyone looking for a good way to spend a Sunday evening! And, I feel obligated to add, this show probably has the best looking male cast on television. Makes watching even MORE enjoyable!!
